ABOUT THE YEAR 9 & 10 PROGRAM |
This is the second stage in the Richmond Emerging Aboriginal Leadership journey. As well as expanding participants understanding of the three key pillars of the REAL program, this four-day residential program has a special focus on Women’s business and Men’s business.
- Tiddas program is for young Indigenous people who identify as female.
- Young Fellas program is for young Indigenous people who identify as male.
Both programs will be facilitated as an ‘On Country’ experience on Dhudorah Country (Albury/Wodonga).
Each program includes workshops that explore:
- Self-confidence and self-awareness
- Mindfulness
- Expressing culture through art, dance and song

ABOUT THE YEAR 11 & 12 PROGRAM |
This is the third stage in the Richmond Emerging Aboriginal Leadership journey. This four-day, residential program expands participants’ understanding of the three key pillars of the REAL program.

Our year 11/12 program includes workshops that explore:
- Being a young leader within your community.
- Looking out for other mob.
- Your rights and responsibilities as a young First Nation’s person.
The REAL Yr 11 & 12 program takes place in Tasmania. Participants will travel to Launceston, before heading to the Bay of Fires, on the north-east coast. From here, participants will complete the wukalina walk https://www.wukalinawalk.com.au/, a four-day trek through Country owned by the palawa peoples.
Participants will camp On Country and experience bush foods, cultural activities, whilst learning local history. The camp departs and returns via Melbourne Airport. All cost are covered by KGI.
2025 Details
Program dates: Friday 11th – Monday 14th April
Registration is open to all young people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and are completing Year 11 or Year 12 in 2025.
Program numbers are limited, and successful applicants will be notified 4-weeks prior to the commencement of the program.
The KGI is a place of safety, and welcomes all young people, regardless of their sexuality, gender, or ability.

I acknowledge that my registration for KGI Programs means that I will follow the KGI Programs Code of Conduct:*
- I will communicate with other students and program staff in a respectful way.
- I will listen to, and consider, the views of others.
- I will report (to KGI staff) any comments or behaviors that make me, or other students feel unsafe.
- I will respect the privacy of others.

Photographs are often taken during the KGI Programs and can be used for promotional purposes. By consenting below, you give consent for the KGI, the Richmond Football Club and program partners to use any photographs taken on programs for publicity purposes.*

The Richmond Football Club Ltd (Club / we) is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information we collect. The Korin Gamadji Institute ( KGI) is a division of the Club. We will only use the personal information provided in this application form for the purposes of:
- assessing and processing the participant for the KGI program;
- communicating with the participant and/or their parent/guardian about the KGI program;
- contacting the participant's parent/guardian and/or emergency contact during the operation of the KGI program if required;
- improving the experience of, and services to, KGI participants and KGI programs (eg surveys); and
- providing information about future KGI programs, KGI events or other community programs via email unless the participant and/or their parent/guardian opt out of receiving such emails by either:
- ticking the checkbox below; or
- emailing info@kgi.org.au to unsubscribe.
We may disclose the personal information in the application form to others for administrative, educational and health related purposes in the operation of the KGI programs. We may also disclose the participant's personal information to a third party to lessen or prevent a serious threat to the participant's safety or welfare (if required), or when required by law (such as government departments or agencies). From time to time, we may publish media releases about the KGI program via various channels (including our website, social media and newsletter) or those of our approved partners which may include or feature the name and/or image of the participant provided they have provided they and/or their parent/guardian have given their consent. We will otherwise not disclose any of the personal information to any third party without the participant's and their parent/guardian's consent.
